Out of Zone Placement
Student doesn't live in Isle of Wight County
Parents who live outside the Isle of Wight County Public Schools attendance zone and are requesting admission for their child(ren) to attend our schools, must complete the Annual Application Non-Resident Students form JEC-E. This form must be completed and submitted for consideration by July 1.
Student lives in Isle of Wight County
Parents who live in Isle of Wight County that are requesting a zone transfer for their child(ren) other than the one assigned in the school attendance zone that they reside, must complete the Annual Zone Transfer Request Form. This form must be completed and submitted for consideration by July 1.
Requests should include the Student’s Name, Grade, Zoned School, Requested School, and Contact Information. In addition, the request should also include any extenuating circumstances that would require a student to attend a different school. Forms are available for parents requesting out of zone for elementary students due to childcare providers located outside of the assigned school zone.
