He was eligible to audition for All-State Band because earlier in the school year he successfully auditioned for both District Band and Senior Regional Orchestra, earning the position of first-chair percussionist in both ensembles.
In addition to playing percussion with the symphonic band, marching band, and jazz band at SHS, Cade is also a percussionist with the Bay Youth Wind Symphony. He is also an Eagle Scout, a lifeguard at the Luter YMCA, and a recent graduate of the Isle of Wight Student Leadership Institute sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce.
Cade was recognized at the July 13 School Board meeting.
