IWCS Announces 3rd Quarter ABCD Award Winner

Each quarter we recognize one of our support staff members who has gone Above and Beyond the Call of Duty. Anyone throughout the division is invited to submit nominations. A panel reviews the nominees and selects the quarterly winners. Our 2019-2020 3rd quarter ABCD Award winner is Casie Pulley, Medicaid and Title I Technician at the Central Office.

The nomination for Casie stated the following:

Mrs. Pulley exemplifies the best we aspire to be as an IWCS employee. Her work behind the scenes ensures that our students who experience the greatest needs have the tools required to be successful. Whether it is ensuring teachers are efficiently scheduled to attend training or processing requisitions for instructional materials, she strives to support the work of our division. In her role as the Medicaid technician, she has streamlined our billing process and increased revenues. She is seen as a local expert for her many years in billing -- often referred to when others across the Commonwealth have a question. As the Title I technician, she has helped to procure over $200,000 worth of resources for Carrsville Elementary, Hardy Elementary, and Windsor Elementary since July. She is diligent in organizing and shipping parental involvement materials to our schools in a timely manner. Always willing to go above and beyond, she is known for her smile being heard over the phone. We thank Casie for her dedication to our students and our schools.

As part of her award, Casie will receive a $50 Visa gift card thanks to the generous support of The Woman’s Club of Smithfield.  She will also receive a personalized plaque created in the Smithfield High School MakerSpace.
