Connect 5 System Outage Update

Our mass communication system, Connect 5, which is used to send messages about bus delays, attendance notifications, and other alerts, is currently offline due to a significant cyberattack affecting the vendor’s network.

As a result, families did not receive notifications today and will not receive them tomorrow if their child’s bus is running late in the morning.

Attendance calls will still occur but will be completed manually by school attendance clerks.

We recognize the inconvenience this outage may cause and sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding, and grace as the vendor continues working to restore services safely and securely.

According to the vendor’s latest update:

“We made significant progress today completing security testing and system validation, but we’re not yet ready to bring all systems back online. Restoring services safely is our top priority, and that process takes time to complete thoroughly and correctly. While work continues around the clock, we want you to plan for systems to remain offline through the end of the day tomorrow. If restoration happens sooner, we’ll notify you right away.”
