Tell Us Their Story!

IWCS ISLE Awards

Every day, people across Isle of Wight County Schools make a difference.

A teacher who stays late to help a student. A bus driver who goes the extra mile. A student who steps up for a classmate. A staff member who makes someone's difficult day a little easier. A parent, volunteer or community partner who gives their time to support our schools.

We want to hear those stories.

The IWCS ISLE Awards recognize members of our school community who demonstrate what it means to Inspire. Succeed. Lead. Empower.

Who can be recognized?

Anyone who makes a positive difference in the IWCS community can be nominated, including:

  • Students
  • Teachers
  • Administrators
  • Support employees
  • Parents and families
  • Volunteers
  • Community partners

How does it work?

It's simple. Tell us about someone who has made a difference.

You don't need to decide which ISLE category they represent, and you don't need to write an essay. Just share what they did, who they helped and why it stood out to you. Our ISLE Awards Committee will review nominations and select monthly honorees.

INSPIRE — Inspiring others to believe, grow and make a difference.

SUCCEED — Helping others learn, grow and achieve.

LEAD — Setting an example and stepping up for others.

EMPOWER — Giving others the confidence, skills or opportunities to succeed.

Big or small, every act of making a difference matters.
