Parental involvement is essential for children to succeed in school, and Isle of Wight County Schools encourages all parents to become participants in their child’s educational journey.
Online Annual Student Update
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! Over the summer, Isle of Wight County Schools upgraded our student information system, PowerSchool. Because of the complexity of this upgrade, it was necessary to remove all emergency contacts for returning students from the system, leaving only parent and guardian information. You should have received a letter/email for each of your returning students containing a link to our new Annual Student Updates and Agreements page and a unique snapcode for each child. From this page, you will be able to review parent and guardian information, add emergency contacts, and sign the required IWCS annual agreements. When you follow the link below, you will be asked to create an account or log in. This is NOT your Parent Portal account! Families who are new to the division since March were enrolled using this system and can sign in with the username and password selected for registration. Families who registered with the division prior to February 2019 will need to create an account. Families with multiple children returning to the division should receive a snapcode for each child. Once you complete the form for one child, sign out, then return to this system through this link. Use the same log in information and enter the next child's snapcode. If you do not receive a letter/email, please contact your child's school. For additional contacts beyond parents/guardians, please do not enter an address unless you are designating them to receive mail for your child. Please note that only contacts listed in PowerSchool will be able to pick up your child from school in case of an emergency, so it is imperative that all families review and complete this information as soon as possible. Information for students who are new to IWCS for the 2019-2020 school year does not need to be reviewed.
Parent Portal Access
When you register your student, please ask the staff member about the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Using PowerSchool you can access grades, update information, and many other features via the web or using an app.
