Masks are Still Required in Schools at This Time

On Saturday, January 15, Governor Youngkin signed an Executive Order regarding the wearing of masks in schools by children. His order, which will make wearing masks optional for students, does not take effect until Monday, January 24.

Students, staff, and visitors will continue to wear masks this week (January 18--21). IWCS is awaiting further guidance from the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) on implementation of the order and will share additional information with parents later this week.
