At the October 13, 2022 school board meeting, the division recognized first quarter honoree, James Howell, Garage Technician in the Transportation Department. Howell's nomination highlighted his efforts in ensuring that IWCS fleet services reached its 98% fleet readiness goal for the new school year with the safest and most reliable vehicles possible. As part of his award, he received a $50 Visa gift card from Blue Bird Bus Sales of Virginia and a personalized plaque created in the Smithfield High School Maker Space.
