Isle of Wight County Schools (IWCS) recognizes a support staff member each quarter who has gone Above and Beyond the Call of Duty (ABCD). At the January School Board meeting, the division recognized second quarter honoree Nash Howell, a Technician in the Fleet Services department. His nomination highlighted how he works efficiently while making sure vehicles are safe and meet all standards. He also helps his coworkers by sharing his technical knowledge and strongly promoting safety. As part of his award, Howell received a $50 Visa gift card from the Woman's Club of Smithfield, and a personalized plaque created in the Smithfield High School Maker Space.
