ID Badge Procedures

The Human Resources Office makes and distributes all ID badges. To obtain your new or replacement badge, please see the procedures below:
 
New Hires – pictures will be taken during the HR orientation process. Badges will be activated and distributed to the employee within 2-3 business days.
 
Lost, Stolen or Damaged Badges – there is a $10 fee for lost, stolen or damaged replacement badges. The employee should alert HR that a replacement badge is needed by either sending or bringing a $10 check payable to Isle of Wight County Schools. If you wish to use the same photo, HR will print the replacement badge and send it to you.
 
If you would like a new photo, please either arrange to stop by HR to have your picture taken or e-mail your photo to HR.
 
Helpful ID Badge Tips

To better extend the life of your badge please practice the following tips:
1.    When possible, keep your badge in the protective sleeve provided.
2.    Wear your badge at all times when on school property. This validates your identity and ensures that the badge is always in your possession.
3.    Do not leave your badge on your desk, in a drawer or in an unlocked car. If your badge is stolen, report this to Human Resources immediately so that your access can be deactivated.
4.    Always protect your badge from theft and misuse.
