Introduction to Technology (982601)
Students trace the history, development, and influence of automation and robotics as they learn about mechanical systems, energy transfer, machine automation, and computer control systems. Students will work in teams to explore coding. Using various programmable devices, including robots and drones, and platforms, students will explore programming languages to complete tasks to practice their coding skills.
Inventions and Innovations (461003)
Students will apply the design process to solve problems and understand the influence of creativity and innovation in their lives. Students will work in teams to explore how various forms of technology can be used in real world application. Oral presentations will give the students opportunities to present their data, their analyses, and their conclusions.
Exploring Audio/Visual Technology (982602)
Students will explore and apply skills related to sound engineering and green screen technology. Students will be working with digital images and video editing. Students will learn the various tasks required to produce a television news magazine-like segment for their middle school and create a digital, interactive video.
